B-Blogs

The internet is full of blogs these days but there are certain types of blogs that are becoming more and more popular. Business blogs or b-blogs for short are useful in a lot of different ways because it keeps vital links to existing customers and to possible clients.

A b-blog is a good way of promoting your business by simply having to work from home on line a little bit every day. A b-blog can offer a visitor a good look into most of the company’s aspects.

They can find information about the company itself, links that could help the customers, about the person leading the company or about news that could affect the company or its customers.

The thing that makes blogging so successful is the fact that the owner of the business controls the posts and they are designed to look informal. Through them a potential customer can discover what kind of person owns the company.

Because of the nature of a blog which is informal, it needs to have a laser-like focus on it. If you deviate from the topic of your blog just a little bit you run the risk of having visitors lose interest in it as they expect to find only one focus. Also be careful not to make remarks about somebody on your blog since there have been cases of bloggers getting into legal trouble because of this.

Also by maintaining your goal fixed you can get your customers to look at your blog as a trusted resource. Also b-blogs are very often visited by competitors, this should be taken as a compliment because your blog is highly regarded.

B-blogs are such a good way of giving information to your customers because they are non-invasive. There are no newsletters to process or anything and people who are visiting the blog are there at their will.

After becoming a trusted source, a b-blog because of its informal nature, can make a customer to move to action because of the level of trust that blogs inspire. B-bloggers have discovered that by updating daily their blog with new posts their number of visitors increase rapidly.

Blogs have been around for quite a while now and have shown that they are a very valuable tool for personal or instructional use. The coming of a business blog is something many people predicted since this was the natural step in the growth of this tool that had already proven itself very good at customer connectivity.

Wordpress Plugins

These days more and more people use and create blogs for different reasons, it doesn’t seem to matter if you are blogging on the side or you chose blogging as a way to work from home on line.

Wordpress is one of the most important blogging tools out there. But few people know how to really take advantage of its capabilities. For example here are a few plugins I believe can make your live easier.

Google Sitemaps by Arne Brachhold is an important one. Sitemaps are becoming very popular these days and thus a plugin to make them and update them automatically is a very important tool. Also it pings Google when a new post is added, plus after you install it you can forget about it because it is self-sufficient.

AJAX comments by Mike Smullin is also an important plugin because Google puts a high value on comments. The advantage of this plugin is that comments are added without the page having to be refreshed.

Jerome’s Keywords made by Jerome Lavigne allows you to pick keywords after you add a post. These are automatically linkable to other post that have the same keywords. It is really good for SEO purposes in terms of meta tags. It can really bring in traffic.

A must have is a feedburner such as Feedburner Feed Replacement by Steve Smith. This allows you to analyze your feed subscriber base and even comes with an advertising program to put your ads right on your feeds.

Mighty Adsense by mightyhitter is a very good Adsense plugin. 10 ad formats can be saved and allows you to position them where you like on post pages, main page or single pages. The fact that you get more ad slots is very helpful for modifying site placement and allows you to find the perfect format.

WP-Translate by Scott Hough is a really good translation plugin. This is very important for a blogging platform because it can extend the reach of your website by become accessible for foreigners as well. With this plugin your reader base is surely to simply explode since you can make it accessible throughout Europe and Asia.

There are Social bookmarking websites out there such as Technorati that are great places to get exposure for your content. Getting at the top of this kind of websites can make you a famous blogger. Social Bookmarks by Apostolos Dountsis is a good plugin that ads graphic links at the bottom of your posts.Links are added or removed easily, and in fact the entire setup is done without much effort.

An important plugin you should look for is one to improve the default navigation of your website. WP-PageNavi by GaMerz is a possibility and it is actually pretty easy to use. It simply ads a page nav menu so you can go through different pages of posts in a category. This is a very important to give the users the opportunity to browse your entire website.

Autoblogging

Autoblogging is as its name implies an automated blogging. So instead of having to work from home on line and write the content of your blog yourself, or pasting articles from other websites manually you can get all this process automated. Plus linking for your blog will be automated as well. All you need are the correct tools and the knowledge on how to do it.

First of all if you are thinking of becoming an autoblogger then you need to think about what that means. It doesn’t matter how good you are at autoblogging, because of its nature you will never produce a high enough quality website that will attract a fan-base. From this point of view you cannot compare autoblogging to a blog written by a person.

But the fact is that an autoblog is designed to attract a couple thousand people every month and has only one or two ways of turning those visitors into customers, and a good autoblogger knows this.

The most common way of autoblogging is by using content from RSS feeds. This doesn’t work very well since everybody else out there uses the same feeds like anyone else. Most people use Technorati or Google Blogsearch.

RSS is now a very widely spread technology and you will see most forums websites or directories have their own RSS feeds. If you figure out a good way of using these feeds you can create your autoblog.

Besides RSS feeds articles are also a very good way of adding content to your blogs. But this is worth only if it’s done automatically.

When you autoblog you create and manage several blogs at a time. Thus hosting might be a problem. You need to find a VPS which will handle your domains for each blog.

Now that you have a domain you will need a blogging platform. One of the best autoblogging tools is Wordpress. This open-source blogging software allows it’s user to modify a domain as you want.

Next a RSS feed aggregator is required. This is one of the most important factors in autoblogging because almost every autoblogging technique requires it. A good way of getting more traffic is to install a language translator script on your autoblog. This will get you an increase in traffic without any extra work.

The last thing you might need is a social bookmarking script. Submitting your blogs to social bookmarking sites is a great way to get them indexed and ranked in search engines and this script will submit your blogs automatically for you.

Comment Spam

A big problem for WordPress bloggers is comment spam. Comment spam is something that a blogger needs to know everything about. Comment spam can be classified as splogging. Through this procedure blogs are taken, and instead of being shown on a website are used to advertise something. The goal is to increase their page rank and to get links.

If you work from home on line then you know how annoying spam mail can be. Comment spam is very similar but at the same time is very ingenious. Somebody will write a comment in somebody else’s blog, and will put in that comment a link to their own website. Thus their page rank soars.

Comment spam is not completely forbidden yet. Google already started to take action against the website and the blog host or by banning the blog. The worst case of comment spam is in WordPress, though the program comes with a feature that can stop people from entering their link in a comment few users of WordPress take the time or know how to properly activate the feature.

Because of how the way it works comment spam is considered malicious and affects a blog’s rank on search engines.

A page’s rank for Google is based on how much the content of the blog relates to the meta keywords in it.

Mostly spam robots are used for the comment spam. They enter almost every post on a blog. These programs are a problem because besides the obvious inconvenience of having somebody else’s ad on your blog, is that they leave a comment attached to their links that sometimes can be really annoying.

But don’t worry you can protect yourself against this kind of attacks. You can try by installing anti-spam pug-ins in Wordpress. Also remember to activate them. Also Akismet, the spam catcher for WordPress is working.

Another thing you could do is look through your old posts and try to identify this kind of comments. Follow their links to the affiliate website and then simply report them. Companies that respect themselves will ban anyone who does this kind of things.

Also about those comments from kids who like to swear or write about porn….pretty much nothing can be done. Wordpress is trying to stay ahead of them but it is difficult.

From January 9th 2006 comment spam has become illegal in the US. Let’s hope this will have an effect but meanwhile keep your anti-spam plug-ins and keep your eyes open.

On this blog and on any other, you are encouraged to make comments, and it is your right to post your link but don't spam. Make a comment only if you have a real opinion about the post, a question or you simply want to add an idea or advice.

WordPress

Blogging is something that has simply exploded in the last few years. It doesn’t matter if you made Blogs your business or if you just like to write a blog from home when the opportunity arises, there are countless blogs appearing on line every day.

A very powerful stand-alone blog engine is Wordpress. It allows everybody to work very efficiently with blogs. But like everything in this life be careful that there is a catch. Using Wordpress you might get a duplicate content which will get you blog removed from Google’s search results.

Wordpress though has a lot of features for blogging and linking such as trackback, URL’s, monthly archives, RSS feeds to posts and comments, also sees all these URL’s returning similar pages as a case of duplicate content

Ironically a case of duplicate content might be your home page itself. How? Well if it contains the full text of your post and not excerpts from them, then it duplicates your post pages.

Another good case of duplicate content made by WordPress is in your sidebar. Your pages are grouped, category pages store your article as it name implies under a certain category if they have the same topic. Also monthly and daily archives hold your previously posted articles by the date of posting, so if in a single day you have only one ad then your archive for that day will look identical with your post.

Another problem is when you somebody makes a search. Search engine spiders get all the content they reach including the RSS feeds and display it. In some cases Google may shoe the RSS URL over the link to the post. In this case the viewer will see a XMP page which cannot be understood my people.

Meta-descriptions are also very important in blogging. No meta-description is a disadvantage because if you had one it could get your clip to be seen in a SERP. WordPress doesn’t offer a tool that can add an unique meta description to your post so this means that you will either have a very wide topic one for all your posts are you won’t have any. By having only one meta-description for all your posts isn’t a good thing because it could get them classified as being duplicated and they will be filtered by Google

Because of this duplicated content results on a search-page from Google could return to a user feeds or archives and not the original post which could be shown in supplemental pages which as most people know contain less desired URL’s in general.

Blogging Strategies

Every marketer wishes their on line business to become the best out there. There are a lot of tactics marketers can use these days to sell their product. But the best marketer is the one that doesn’t even have to talk to their costumers “face-to-face”, in other words the best marketer is the one who pre-sells all he’s products. Blogging is a good tactic to pre-sell your products, and it is a real business-growing opportunity

Blogs are really simple to create and even easier to maintain. So from the start this is a real advantage. The key to being successful, at blogging, is quantity and quality. You will need somewhat equal amount of both these things. In order to create your “home base”, your starting point, begin by writing several blogs on a topic that somehow relates to your main website. It doesn’t really matter what’s the product you’re selling if your goal is to get traffic.

Now you will have to create your links in such a way as to make your visitors go from one blog to the other. The blog’s goal is to generate pre sold traffic to your main site and sales. So make sure that the link to your site sticks out and makes people want to come and visit you website.

Let’s say I own a membership site, people have to pay for to get into, and I want to get more people to join. Well for one I will need a very content rich website and I would also need a few subscribers every month for several months at which point a viral campaign can be started.

To achieve this I believe the best way is to use the strategy and build several blogs. Keep in mind that the topics of the blogs have to remain similar but with a twist in each of them. The visitors must be able to travel from one blog to the other and absorb unique information from each one of them. Also the key for this strategy would be to have a link to the main site always on display as if saying to your visitor “click me and join this website…there are tons of more information about the things you read in the 3 or 4 blogs you have seen this link on”.

There is a lot of hard work to blogging. If you don’t outsource some of the writing, and if you don’t have a plan from the beginning you will get discouraged. You might try to write as many blogs posts as possible for each of your blogs before you even start one.

If you attend to your blogs and post every day pretty soon you will get many loyal readers that would more than happily join your membership site, buy whatever you are selling, in other words you will soon enough gain their trust and you will be able to make them do what you need them to.

A few more Adwords tips

As somebody who works on line, regardless if it is from home or from an office, then you know that a real business can start from a simple opportunity that arises at some point. PPC advertising is just such an opportunity, but although there are a lot of pointers on what to do based on PPC advertising, you should know that a list of things that shouldn’t be done is just as good.

If you already have an Google Adwords account and you have a product to sell than you should have already have a group of keywords that you should target with your PPC campaign.

Smart advertisers know not to put all there keywords into one bucket. You need to work with a small group of closely related keywords at a time. You need to do this to keep your income above the amount the money you are spending. This is known as return of investment (ROI). To get your ROI you take your entire sales revenue minus the cost of the clickthroughs and then divide it by the total cost of clickthroughs which gives you your ROI.

ROI is very important and might make you want to spend all your money on keywords with the highest ROI. But you should also think about increasing your clickthroughs by working on your ad text. It is logical that with more clicks more sales will follow. Especially if you already have a keyword that produces a lot of income.

As your work on your text you need to keep your eye on your ROI. An ad can be successful or not depending on how you get your customers to click on it.

Now campaigns have different goals. For example you might want to increase advertising rates on your site by increasing hits on your homepage, you want to increase your email list or just want to sell a product. It is really easy to get people that have no intention of buying your products to click your ad.

You can use this as well when you are offering something free, let’s say a free e-book. Your goal after all is to get your customer to get to purchase something from you. So instead of offering something free which will most likely attract most peoples attraction and will click your ad even though they won’t buy anything, offer something like Free e-book on exercising: Complete work-out guide for 35$.

In this way people will see that by spending a little bit more money they will get something much more valuable.

So ROI is the thing to watch out for as you test all kinds of texts. Always try to look after what you offer, make sure you get the right kind of traffic, because remember that more clickthroughs doesn’t necessarily mean more sales.

Adwords Subject Lines

Using Google Adwords internet marketers can earn a lot of money. This really isn’t rocket science it’s all about opportunity and making the right choices.

A lot of internet marketers spend a lot of time online trying to find the perfect subject line. A good subject line can make the difference between just a click or sale. You might say that your entire ad is based on that Subject line. Instead of relaxing at home you might be spending a lot of time an money in front of the computer testing various subject lines. There are a lot of strategies out there that can teach you to perfect your ads, but they all cost time and money.

There is another way: Free classified Ads. You get a lot of advantages from working with this kind of ads. They are free, you get your name out there, you test a lot of subject lines and you can see what the results are and you post your link all over the internet.

Here’s how you can do it. Come up with several subject lines you like. Then search for free classifieds. Try to search using different search engines instead of just using Google because different search engines use different approaches to listing sites.

Now post your ads on these sites, but keep in mind to track your progress. A tracking URL is very important because using it you can find out which of your ads are working. There are a lot on line that offer this service. After you choose an ad that is working good take it to Google Adwords and create your campaign for it.

Remember always be cautious with your ads. If you’ve ever created an ad that you thought was fail proof just to see it wash out then you know what I’m talking about. In this system you can change your ad, or better said you can tweak your ad. You can change a word or a location of a word and then take it to another site and test it. Sometimes something as little as a word can make the difference between a successful ad and a failed one.

Nobody knows exactly why that is but if you ever find out, then you can consider yourself a very lucky person.

Hope this helps you find the Holy Grail of Marketing, a successful Google Adwords campaign.

More PPC Tips

The number of people that have created a real business on line these days is simply mind blowing. And this is because there are more and more ways through which people can learn how to be successful on the internet simply by working from home.

For example “Google PPC tips” is a very good point to start from. Of course in PPC advertising increasing your Click-Through-Rate is your objective. If you look through Google tips you will find that you can increase you CTR with a single word.

You need to know a few things before though. Google doesn’t like, actually forbids their advertisers to put words in their ads like “CLICK HERE”. There is a very simple reason why this happens. This kind of phrase attracts people’s attention very well.

So imagine that every advertiser out there would start putting on their websites “LOOK HERE”, “CLICK HERE”, “PRESS HERE” in no time we would be overwhelmed by these words in ads.

So Google figured out that by forbidding advertisers to put these words in their ads, they can prevent Google’s image to become tarnished and cheap.

But, there is always a catch and you can use these very effective words without breaking Google’s rules.

Simply use the word “HERE”. For example “The best info about car tuning. Start here”.

But you must always keep in mind PPC advertising is about two things. Ok, you got your CTR soaring but keep in mind those clicks cost you money. Keep your eyes on the conversion rate as well. Be careful to get enough sales as a result from the text in your ads. Though you have achieved in getting that all important click make sure that click will generate you income and that you won’t pay for a useless click.

Always test and test that conversion rate. You always have to be a step ahead of your competition, always monitor and improve your ads. This is the only way in which you can make some profit using PPC advertising.

PPC Basic Tips

Google Adwords is one of the most widely used programs to drive traffic to your website. But if you’ve been in this business for some time, and you made it on your own power then you are familiar with the problems that Google Adwords comes with. For example it may be a real opportunity for most people, because of the things it does, but it isn’t perfect. You can’t be that your campaigns will be successful. Especially if you chose a niche with many competitors.

There are some things however that you can do, which will keep you from failing with your campaign. Firstly you must select your target market. Try to keep in mind what your customer’s wishes are, and what they are looking for. If your Adwords ad answers to their problem then it is very likely they will click on your ad. Of course the higher the click through rate will be, the lower your cost per click will go.

Your market is defined by the product you are marketing. Let’s take for example computer parts. Your customers will be looking for things that will make their computer run faster, or more efficient. So you should create your Google adwords ads, keeping in mind your target market. Always think about what your customers want and need.

Furthermore you should really take your time in defining your market. If you know what your target market is then you can create much more efficient Adwords ads. Using the example above, computer parts, you should target people that aren’t looking for PC’s. You should target people that are looking for hard drives or processors etc.

Also when you advertise using Google Adwords always remember that your ad must provide a solution to a customers problem. This is important because if you manage to present the solution in its most exact form you will generate quality leads. Those leads will probably convert into sales.

In the end remember that Google Adwords isn’t the only program out there, there are several advertising mediums which will do mostly the same thing just as well. However the marketing fundamentals, such as defining target markets, witch is something you must know if you want to be successful in your on line business, applies in all advertising mediums.

Google Adwords Introduction

Google Adwords is something you have surely come across if you have an on line business or even if you just surf the internet from home. Google adwords is a complete service that offers its user the opportunity to attract a lot of buying visitor’s to his/hers website. Google adwords is a pay per click program in witch you pay Google for every click your ad gets on Google’s search engine result pages.

Google Adwords gives you real control over every aspect of your advertising campaign. Though it may sound easy to use, actually it isn’t. You have to know what you want, you need to have resources and you need to know how to use the free tools that come with Google Adwords.

So as in every business you might start you first have to learn about the niche you are interested in, learn the way the market works, establish your goals and get the means you need to succeed. So before you start working with Google Adwords and begin drawing in traffic for you website, you need to study the way it works.

After you have learned and gained some skill at using Google Adwords you ca start your campaign. Don’t use a very big budget. After all this is your first campaign, and you need to be sure it will be successful. Don’t worry though even a fairly low budget campaign which brings you a few cents for every click can generate a profit of hundreds of dollars a week. All you need to do is use your head.

So remember, it is very important that you take everything one step at a time. You don’t have to leap into it. At first it is all about experimentation. If you don’t have somebody to teach you what exactly to do, you might just as easily hit a dead end. So don’t start spending big bucks on campaigns thinking you will automatically make huge profits just because you got Google Adwords. Study first and assure you success.

So Google Adwords, the best Pay per click program out there? Probably but this doesn’t mean it is a very easy program to use. Actually if you don’t have some skill and knowledge about this program or you don’t have somebody to help you, you may not even make it of the ground.

Pay Per Click Advertising vs Link Building

More people these days tend to stay more and more at home, and some of them are looking at the internet as an on line business. The fact is that opportunity is knocking, and if you want to get a piece of this internet pie you need to start working right away.

Pay Per Click Advertising and Link Popularity are some of the real important things in the internet industry.

PPC advertising or Pay Per Click Advertising is something Google started. In this kind of advertising, you, the advertiser, actually spend money on every visitor that comes to your website. With PPC webmasters can measure their return on investment (ROI) and adjust their marketing dollars accordingly.

Why use PPC advertising? Well using this method an advertiser gets an idea on the amount of money he spends and he knows what to expect from it. PPC advertising is also the fastest way of getting visitors to your website. Registration is quite simple and you can sort the advertising campaign in a matter of minutes. This method offers a webmaster the opportunity to make it big in a real short period of time, if he has the ability to do so.

Link popularity is completely different from PPC advertising but the goal remains the same: attract people to your website. The down side of link popularity is the amount of time it takes to get enough backlinks. It can take up to a few months. But the amount of links you get will last longer, and attract more people over time then the bunch of people you will get from PPC advertising.

Also building link popularity is completely free, the only thing you will have to do is submit your websites to free web directories widely available.

One of the biggest drawbacks in link popularity is the time spent to get backlinks. You can’t get backlinks fast without spamming, also at first you may not have so much content and that takes a lot of time. If you have money you can always buy copyrighted articles for your websites content. There are also people online witch will submit your website to hundreds of directories.

So after you have seen both ways what will you choose? If you don’t have the money but you have the time and skill go for link popularity. If you have the money and not the time then PPC advertising is for you. Also remember link popularity last considerably longer than PPC advertising.

Work From Home On Line With Blogs

A very good way of building link popularity is by getting links from blogs. This might make some people wonder how come blogs have such a strong Google PageRank. The reason for this is quite obvious: blogs are updated frequently. Because they are always updated this means they get indexed very often witch is the main reason why search engines and even dmoz include so many blogs in their listings.

Working from home on line is starting to be for more and more people a real home based business opportunity. But this link popularity is still a mystery for a lot of them. On the internet blogging is a very effective way of building link popularity.

Bloggers approach the web in a more sociable way, where webmasters tend to see a business competitor in everyone. Bloggers will freely link to other blogs that have content they like also they make posts on these blogs.

So if you give considerate comments on blogs you will get links to and from those blogs. Also this could offer you an advantage when you propose to a blogmaster to start a link exchange.

Blogs seem to remain an important way of getting links, even though Google is starting to overlook reciprocal links on static sites.

Here are some steps you can follow, to get the most out of your blog. For one, make sure you host your blog on your domain. As a blogging platform WordPress is one of the most widely used, as is Google’s Blogger. Always remember to post to your blog, as often as you can but preferably two-three times a week.

Don’t just blog, you will also have to interact with other Bloggers and let them know about your blog. Try to make it as popular as possible. Try to include in your blog something of a sitemap. Most blog software doesn’t have a strong link structure or a real sitemap and this is way PageRank usually “sits” on the home page.

Remember to send your blogs to directories and always verify that RSS feed is working properly so you can apply to directories that accept feeds. Also remember that blog links are just a kind of reciprocal links so try not to make your link strategy revolve around blog links.

There are nowadays a growing number of blog directories, so called because static web sites can’t get into these directories.

So keep in mind that a blog is a powerful tool you can use in your link promoting campaign, and always use the PR and linking benefits of a blog.

Link Popularity - Quality Not Quantity

One thing that everybody knows is that it isn’t that easy to get top rankings for your website. After all this is what the internet industry revolves around. If all you had to do to get a top ranking website would be to get a bunch of links pointing to your website, then you could simply buy a series of links on some cheap websites. But in order to get to succeed you will need quality links instead of quantity.

Many have figured out that working from home online is a real home based business opportunity, and they tried to make it big by simply getting thousands of link’s pointing to their website in a very short amount of time. That is not a good thing for a lot of reasons. One the quality of the links will be poor, the top SE’s like to see website grow over time. So in other words if you acquire a lot of links in a very short period of time you can be sure you will get penalized for that.

Don’t be discouraged there are several techniques through witch you can build your link popularity.

The most popular type of link building is reciprocal linking. In other words in this technique site puts A link on site B, and B does the same thing on site A. This is a very good technique but watch out for webmasters witch will try to take advantage of this technique in many ways. So remember if you are using reciprocal linking always take your time and review possible partners link requests.

Also one of the most important ways of building links is through article distribution. Write an article a day and or as many as you can submit them to the top articles directories and you will get a one-way link to your website from article directories and also provides a link from websites that are using your article. Use isnare.com for easy distribution.

Also there is always the possibility of buying links, but be careful what you pay for. Make sure that the quality of the website is good and you will be getting your money’s worth out of your investment.

There is a less used but still effective way called triangular linking. This is when site A links to site B witch in turn links to site C witch will link to site C. Thus every site gets a one-way link.

The possibility of gaining link popularity is endless. Just use every technique and see what you will get. Always keep in mind that quality comes first…and you will be all right.

Link Popularity And PageRank

Most people that are already working online know that this is a real home based business opportunity, and as such you must know that it takes time and patience to make it big.

Link popularity and page rank are two things that you will get to know really well. But most people tend to confuse link popularity with page rank. Though they may seem similar, in fact they are completely different. Link popularity measures how popular your website is and how many links are directed to it. Also link popularity measures the quality of the sites that are directed to your own website. Page rank is actually a Google term ranging from 1 to 10 and is used to classify a website based on description, link popularity and keywords. So in other words link popularity measures quality where page rank measures quantity.

Link popularity is one of the most important things in your online presence. If nobody knows about your website, it is as if it doesn’t exist. You could make your website popular through pop ups and campaigns on websites with a bad reputation, but that is when quality control could become a problem, and this is when link popularity is determined.

Link popularity can be earned through having the right keywords on your website, good reputation and link exchange. Link exchange can make your website a lot more popular with the search engines. This in turn means more traffic for your website witch in fact is what we want.

Also a good way of getting some extra link popularity is to have good content on your website. Do you have interesting information on your website? You should make sure you have enough interesting material for your visitors, sometimes you might get linked by viewers on other websites, or maybe a webmaster might find your website interesting and ask to use some of your content of your site’s content and all links in place, this adds to your link popularity.

If your website sells and gives information on “books” for example, when you type in books on a search engine and your webpage isn’t in the first ten then you know your link is not optimized. Look at the other websites that are in the top. Using some browsers you will be able to view the page source of such websites. Use your competitor’s website to your advantage and see how you compare to it. See how many links you have on your website and how many websites are targeted to yours. All these important factors can lead you to greater link popularity

Also keep in mind that keyword oriented articles and reviews can bring in that all important traffic to your website, and the best thing about this is that you don’t have to do much of anything. Good luck with promoting your website.

Link Exchange Services

Most people, who use their computer as a way of earning their money, know that working on the internet is a real home based business opportunity.

A big part of internet based businesses is getting traffic to your webpage. There are a lot of ways to do that but most of them have to do with link building. Link exchange will become a big part of your business. The goal is to exchange your link with other internet websites and not the least get traffic for your website. You could start exchanging links manually but that is a tedious and time-consuming process. Also in free link exchange the goal is to enhance website link popularity. There are several programs out there at this moment that already have attracted a multitude of members that are searching for link partners as well. So it is not necessary to spend hours upon hours searching for link partners, checking backlinks etc. These free link exchange services add new partners every day, update your own directory page and they even make sure your link partner is linking to you regularly.

It doesn’t really matter if you don’t have a clue about exchanging links because by using these free link exchange your link will be activated in the directory without having to do much of anything and at no cost. Plus you will get your website active in the free link exchange directory in less than 24 hours. So for link exchange a free link exchange program is the way to go for a bunch of reasons:

Link exchange stops being a burden and you don’t have to stress, there’s no email exchange required, you get a 100% guarantee for two-way linking, otherwise your link partner’s website will get suspended, plus new partners are added 24/7.

The downside is that you will have to pay around 50$ per year if your website is ranked below 2.

Ranking in free link exchange is vital. It is a well known fact that search engines rank a website by pointing to one with a specific keyword, but it points to highest ranking website for that search engine term. Links are one of the most important parts of this industry. Using links you increase your page rank witch will, most certainly, boost your website traffic which leads, in turn to an increase in business and of course in income. So remember, the quality of your own links is quite important with the links from relevant websites. Also remember that quantity is always very important in free link exchange.

The link exchange service that I recommend is Linkmarket.

Gaining Customer Trust

As in every business, if you chose to work from home on line you must have in mind your customers trust. You need their trust because thus you will get them to come back over and over again and even maybe expand your network through potential partners. Here are a few ways through which you can gain your customers trust:

Testimonials are probably one of the most important way to gain people’s trust. They are so powerful just because you don’t have control of them they’re true opinions of your customers. Testimonials might be the nudge people might need to buy your product, simply by reading about someone else’s pleasant experience.

Testimonials are also very easy to obtain. Just ask someone who makes the slightest positive comment, after buying your product, if you can use that comment as a testimonial. As a bonus, offer to put their link on your website and most people will agree.

Testimonials are a powerful tool in gaining your customers trust, so use them wherever you like. Put them at the start of your sales letter, in the middle, or at the end. Put them on the side of your website or create a page just for them and create links to it. Use them as often as possible.

Offering guarantees is another way in which you will get your visitor’s trust. Try to offer a very powerful guarantee for your products. In this way people will think wisely about your product and services and the chances of them asking for their money back drops almost to 0.

Try to make your guarantee as irresistible as possible. If you take all of your visitors worries and assure them nothing will go wrong, you will succeed in gaining their trust. If you want your business to be an honest one you will probably offer a guarantee anyway so why not make the guarantee part of your offer thus removing all risk from your customers.

Now you have most of your customer’s trust, but you know that your website is a real home based business opportunity, and I’m sure you want to have your customer’s full confidence.

For that you must offer a professional order taking service. Most people still aren’t fully sure of purchasing products online with their credit cards. They will be concerned about your order service professionalism. Your order taking systems should look neat. You need to make it as easy to use and as nice to use as possible. Don’t hassle your customers.

If you use a third party such as PayPal make sure your lead-in looks good and professional. Just because these companies take care of the transactions it doesn’t mean you have to look bad when presenting your products. Give your customers the possibility to mail in an order. Seeing a mailing address, even if it is a P.O. box, is a great way to gain they’re trust. Do whatever you can to make your website look as professional as possible. This will show your customers you are serious and gain their trust. A good content and the things I pointed out will lead you to a successful online business.

Links, Emails, Articles

Most people that already have a website are constantly trying to get more people to come and visit it. There are various ways in which someone can achieve that but unfortunately there isn’t a manual with every single way of getting traffic for your website. Most people build a website for the sole purpose of making money. They find out that working from home on line is a real home based business opportunity. I will try to point out to you a few methods that have always worked for me.

The most important way to get traffic to your website is, for me, the use of backward links that point to your website. If you manage to get enough backward links you are in business, but it isn’t as easy as you might think.

The idea is good and profitable for both parties but as you will start trying to put a link to you site on other people’s websites you will find that not many people will agree to do so. But keep trying! Find websites that are similar in nature to your own and start contacting webmasters.

Not a lot of them know how profitable exchanging links could be, and the one’s who know may not want to exchange links with you. You should make the email as convincing as possible and a good way to do that is to tell the webmasters how much you like specific things about their websites.

So promoting a website is not as easy as you thought? Well links are a good way to get traffic, so what if somebody doesn’t want to put your link on their website. Make them! How? Very simple!

Through article marketing. It is a fairly simple and fairly cheap way to promote your website. All you really need is a good package of information. Start writing articles about things you think people might be interested in. But remember put interesting information on them, it is very important that you write information that people can use and not just general things. As your articles will be read more and more they will appear on others people’s websites. That is a good thing. Now you have your link on somebody else’s site.

Keep writing articles and you will pretty soon start to see a growth of traffic on your site. This is only a small step in getting your website the exposure you need. Keep looking for new ways of promoting your website and keep fighting to keep your website at the top of the rankings.

More Promotion Tips

If you figured out that working on line is a real home based business opportunity then here are some more things you should know about site promotion.
There are a bunch of ways in which you can promote your site, thus you shouldn’t stick to only one way because you may find that you won’t be making any money. There are three primary means to site promotion: Online promotion, off site marketing and search engine optimization.

Online promotion is one of the most diversified ways to promote your site. With online promotion you can use applications such as Pay Per Click. You can reach into a targeted stream of customers making this form of advertising very useful
You can increase the amount of interest people have in your site by writing articles. Using keyword rich articles you have the possibility of attracting new customers. Your articles become a link to your own site.

Using blogs is another useful way to promote your site. With blogs you offer your customers a way to get the information they need about a certain subject. By providing them with relevant information you can make them to return to your site over and over again. Also forums and ezines are a good way to promote your web site.

Search Engine Optimization is a good way to bring people to your website. The way it works is very ingenious. You start by using keywords in your website in the form of articles or information about your products. By using these keywords you get search engines to find your website easier. When search engines rank your website well your chances of getting customers grows substantially. Use the keywords in the site title, and in H1, H2, header tags.

To promote your site you should also use off site marketing. It is a little different from the other ways of promoting because you are using tangible things for a change. For example you can make business cards or promotional items for trade shows, and you can put your website details on them. You can also advertise in a print publication. Make sure you put your website at the center of the advertisement.

You can enhance your business through ecommerce but before you can do that effectively you will need to learn about delivery and marketing concepts.
