Regarding that you’re in the affiliate marketing business and your main purpose is to make as much money as you can, you’ve probably bought quite a few of the many guides on the internet that are supposed to teach you how to make a fortune. Unfortunately, most of these books are just scams and the information they provide is either useless or out of date.
There are two forms of affiliate marketing guides: the ones that really provide information on how to successfully run your business and of course the scams, the “guides” made for affiliate marketers desperate to save their campaigns.
Affiliate marketing is a very serious business that needs to be treated as one to ensure your success. Most of the guides out there promise you that you’ll start earning large sums of money from the first day you apply their advices. Sadly, there isn’t a single one that I’ve found to fulfill this promise. Still, these scam guides have a little bit of truth in them and a lot of the techniques they describe actually work but only combined with more reliable ones so it’s not a total waste of money to buy such a guide.
The best guides out there are the ones that teach you how to set up your business and provide you information on good advertising techniques that don’t violate your terms of service.
Still, if you pay attention to these three issues it’s going to be easy to tell which guides are scams:
Most of these scam guides get a lot of hype and the affiliate marketers that sell them use false and misleading techniques.
Pay attention to what a guide promises because if it sounds too good to be true, probably it’s just another scam. If you don’t want to lose money in the long run, you shouldn’t get tempted by these false promises.
Guides that are reactionary in nature are those that respond to a change in the search engine algorithms either in the organic search or advertising algorithms. These guides usually provide some immediate information to those affected by these changes in such a way that their business is shut down. Those which run are truly running a business usually don't need to rely on these guides in order to continue business because they are not relying on schemes to begin with.
The bottom line is that if you set up your affiliate marketing business as a true business and work to make it grow by using good business strategies rather than relying on schemes, the potential for your business to profit increases.
