Outsourcing...A Way To Grow Your Business

As an entrepreneur, it is important to have continuous growth in your business in order to be successful. One of the ways that can help your business grow is outsourcing.

Outsourcing is when you choose certain business activities that you currently handle and then deciding to use an outside business source to handle the activity instead. This simple definition can bring peace of mind to an overloaded entrepreneur.

Case in point, as a web designer, clients may expect you to have the ability to create or install everything that revolves are the Internet. However, your skill set may not include some of your client needs such as creating an online shopping cart. So it would be good to find a business associate that you trust and outsource the online shopping cart to them.

However, make sure when you choose an outsourcing business partner that you keep the following things in mind:

1. Choose someone that you can trust not to steal your clients away.
2. Choose someone who has the same business ethics as yourself.
3. Make sure that this person has the skills to complete specific tasks before outsourcing to them.
4. Ask for client samples and references so that you can get feedback from their clients regarding their work habits.
5. Make sure to have a contract that includes a non-compete clause in it.

The list above is just a running start on some of the things that you need to keep in mind when outsourcing. After you have determined who you will outsource projects to, make sure to have a service level agreement (SLA) with them too.

The SLA should fully explain your expectation of the type of service they will provide to your clients along with time frames for completing the projects. The SLA should be put in place the same time as the outsourcing contract.

Finally, you should make sure that you have a process in place for handling your outsourcing project. For instance, you need to include the following in your outsourcing to do list.

1. Client name
2. Outsourcing project details
3. Time line
4. Special requirements

There are other things that you may need to add to this list but the list above are the basic items that need to be included in your outsourcing to do list.

Now that you have a template for outsourcing projects, you can start planning for adding more clients to your business. Do not be afraid of outsourcing but embrace it and learn how it will free you up to do more with your business to grow it.

I recommend GetAFreelancer.com for outsourcing practically anything. It's a service I personally use, and have always been very satisfied with their freelancers.

Tips to Get More from Adsense

All webmasters and site owners who have been trying to earn from their sites must be aware of a monster called Adsense.

Adsense has presented a new and easy opportunity to earn money from your site. Adsense virtually allows any person who has built a content site or a blog to earn money, just by placing some code on their web pages. Adsense has given the ability to the web masters to concentrate on their sites rather than wasting time on trying to figure out what advertisements to put on their sites.

There are many web masters who make living on Adsense, but there are also many web masters who spend lot of time on figuring out the magic trick to earn from Adsense. Making a good living from Adsense might seem difficult but it is definitely not impossible.

Just placing Adsense code on your site is not enough if you are looking at Adsense as your only source of income. You need to experiment a lot with Adsense formats, placement and choice of keywords.

Whatever topic your site deals with, you should take care to build page around a specific topic. This ensures that the Adsense ads placed on the page, are relevant and useful to the visitors wanting to know more on the topic, and these visitors will eventually end up clicking the Adsense ad.

You should take care when placing your Adsense ads. If you read through Google help on Adsense, you will find the heat maps suggesting the best locations for your adverts. It is a proven fact that, one place the visitors look first on the site is the top left position. Since this is the place that will have the visitor's attention, it definitely helps to place your Adsense ads there.

You should also consider placing the Adsense ads on high traffic pages. You will be able to identify the most visited pages on your site by looking at the logs or even your Google Analytics account, which provides you page by page details of visitors.

Though the banner and skyscrapers adverts look pretty good on your site, you should try to avoid using those on your site. Such banners are usually ignored by the visitors. Do you recollect clicking on any banner on a site you visited recently?

You should also use the Adsense formats to make sure your Adsense ads blend with your web pages. Google provides you different palettes to try font colors, backgrounds and borders. There is no point in placing an ad on the page which does not blend with your site and will effectively not be clicked by any visitor.

Another important factor ignored by most of the webmasters is the Adsense preview tool. Google provides with an excellent tool to help you preview the ads that appear on your page. This tool allows you to see the sample ads and formats, preview colors on your page, check the destination of the ads and geo targeted locations to see what visitors in other countries will see. You could also preview the ads on some of the free websites like http://Adsense.toolbot.com/, http://www.websitegear.com/tool/Google_Adsense.asp.

Besides the above mentioned factors, it is also important to have a definite focus on what you want to achieve. No matter how busy you are, you should always spare some time to experiment with the Adsense ads to improve the CTR. Whatever experts say, just following the basics, is really the magic of making more from Adsense.

Duplicate Content - Friend or Foe?

The question of whether duplicate content can get you penalized in the search engines -- and how to avoid that if it can -- is a topic of hot debate these days.

Many webmasters live in fear, agonizing over questions like:

- What is duplicate content?

- Why do search engines care about duplicate content?

- Should they worry about duplicate content?

- What can they do to avoid a duplicate content penalty if there is one?

First, understand that there is no clear definition of duplicate content and it is not absolutely clear that there is any such thing as a duplicate content penalty. In general, however, the belief is that repetition of large blocks of the same content (such as an article or syndicated blog post) within either the same domain or across many different domains could trigger a penalty in search engines such as Google.

So why would search engines care about duplicate content?

If you think about how search engines work and how they make their income, the whole topic from their perspective becomes clear. Search engines live or die based on two things:

1. Do search engine users feel like they get the results they are looking for when they search?

2. Do the advertisers (and thus the search engine) make good revenue?

Suppose you publish an article on "How to write a good article." You submit it to all of the popular article directories and within a couple weeks it is published on 300 different websites.

If someone were to then go to Google and search for "how to write a good article," do you think they would feel like Google was producing good results if the first 300 were all links to your article, but just on 300 different sites?

Of course not. In fact, people would probably either complain or stop using Google. And as a side effect, advertisers would start making less revenue and would stop advertising. Then Google would not make money and before long they would have some serious problems.

So it becomes clear why Google, or any search engine, would not want to display many copies of essentially the same content for any given keyword search.

The logical conclusion is that search engines absolutely need to filter out as much duplicate content in the results as possible. If they filter out your website and display someone else's, even though the content is the same, it's going to look as if you were penalized for duplicate content. But actually, they are just trying to deliver the best results.

Many people believe that search engines should give precedence to the original source of the content. But how can Google or any search engine accurately determine which is the original of the content and which is the duplicate? While algorithms can likely make some logical conclusions, the truth is that it is not really possible to determine this every time.

Instead, search engines have to go by things like where the content seems to have first been published, which site is the biggest authority, etc.

This means that if you publish the same article on your site and on 100 sites that are all older and more established, it is likely that it may appear your site was republishing duplicate content, not the other way around.

There is an easy way to avoid this problem. Don't publish the same articles on your website that you submit to the article directories. You can publish variations, but be sure they are significantly enough different that they are unlikely to get your site filtered or penalized due to duplicate content.

Interestingly, this will also work for you in another way. If your articles are published on other sites which then all link to your site, and you don't duplicate any of the content, your site appears to actually be more of an authority site than the sites that are all sharing duplicate content.

And if your site is on the same theme and the article directories link to your website with keyword-rich anchor text, the incoming links will also seem to indicate to the search engines that your site is the authority on that theme. The sites publishing the duplicate content seem less authoritative.

In a similar way, if you syndicate your content, be sure to only syndicate the title and description paragraphs, not the whole article. That way, your site always has even more content on the topic, again making your site seem to be the authority.

This strategy can be far more effective than publishing the articles on your site. In fact, if you have been submitting articles for some time, you may even have seen this happening already.

As you can see, it's not really a question of whether there is a duplicate content penalty or not. Search engines must filter out duplicate content in order to present the best results to their users and maintain advertising revenue.

You can use this to your advantage by being sure that any duplicate content is on other websites that link to yours. Some of those sites will be filtered out of the search engine results and some won't. But they will all point to your site as the actual authority on your keyword-based theme. Do this, and any duplicate content will be your friend rather than your foe.

3 Reasons Social Marketing Must Be A Part Of Your Business

If you are trying to sell things on the Internet and you do not have a blog you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. Would you go to play golf without a putter?

Your competition is blogging and they are beating your pants off every day with ease. A part of blogging is submitting your articles to social directories.

Here are 3 reasons social marketing must be a part of your Internet business.

1. Social marketing is a popular way to get information. Directories like Digg and Netscape are quickly becoming the choice of people all over the world as a way to keep up to date on what is going on.

If you are not blogging and submitting to relevant social directories you are missing out on this easy form of traffic.

2. Social marketing is easy to do. Here's what you need. You should get a WordPress blog and set it up so that you can quickly bookmark the top directories. Then you should post in your blog everyday. If you can talk and type you can blog.

3. Social marketing is an interactive way to develop relationships with your readers. This has become know as Web 2.0 and it is important to the future of your business.

People still like to deal with people. This is an age-old sales trick that sometimes gets lost on the Internet. By making yourself and your blog interactive you become a real person. This will help increase your chances for sales and repeat sales.

4. Search engines love social marketing. You are making their life easy when you blog around keyword rich topics that a person researching can find. When you master the techniques of social marketing you will find you can get on page one of Google and other search engines very quickly.

The reason for this is search engines are spidering Digg, Reddit, Newsvine, and many more non-stop looking for fresh relevant content to put online. This may as well be you as opposed to your competition.

If all of this seems confusing it really shouldn't be. Read "The Authority Black Book" by Jack Humphrey. It is a free ebook you can get online. In it you will learn everything you ever wanted to know on social marketing and how to use it to increase your business.

Do not wait until tomorrow to get started. Do it today and your Internet business will thank you.

One Of The Easiest Ways To Make Money Online

There are many different ways to generate revenue online and some are more difficult than others.

Let’s face it, many people that first come online and find out they could make a few bucks realize really quickly that it's not all that easy.

They start searching for information about working from home online and find out all too soon that there are a lot of sites out there that will let them purchase information they can use to learn how to make tons of cash for themselves and shortly thereafter they realize that the next step is to go purchase even more tools, info and study material at an even higher cost.

The other problem many people run into is that they find the many different newsletters that are online and each one is promoting a different way of making money online. Some may talk about affiliate marketing, others are discussing how to use their blogs or the power of Web 2.0 and yet others review how to use AdSense and PPC (pay per click) to boost their business.

In both cases, the new and aspiring Internet marketer is confused, lost and all too quickly fed up and frustrated after just a short time and most likely a ton of money they feel was thrown out the window.

And yet, making money online doesn’t have to be difficult, you don’t even have to have a website, your own products are not needed and you don’t have to run a massive affiliate program of your own to at least make some money to help you get started and you can quickly plug that hole in your wallet where all those precious dollars have been falling out of.

One of the simplest and quickest ways to get started generating some revenue online is to use articles coupled with affiliate marketing.

Here’s yet another simple step by step guide to help you get started:

1. Head over to Clickbank and take a look at the many products waiting for you to promote them.

There are a few things you might want to look at while you are browsing around the Marketplace. Clickbank has a pretty good guide that will tell you how to tell the difference between products that are performing well and those that are bombing, but here’s one simple tip to keep in mind as well. As you look through the Pitch Pages, think to yourself for just a moment, if I was interested in this product, does this page even grab my attention? Would you be likely to purchase what you saw?

Once you have picked out a couple of products you really like, consider purchasing them so you can provide high-quality reviews of them, but if the budget is tight, that sometimes isn’t an option, so you will have to make note of the features, benefits and any other important information you got from the sales page.

2. Write one article.

Yes, that’s it. Write one simple article that features some of the key benefits of the product you will be promoting. Keep it simple and don't make it look like a sales page. For example, if the product you plan to promote is about Planning Your Wedding you could write your article based on "The Top 10 Things To Keep In Mind When Planning Your Wedding" and then list the 10 things (or however many you got) from the sales page that are related, such as Choosing The Location For Your Reception, How To Avoid Relatives Embarrassing You, How To Keep Your Bridesmaids From Looking Like Clowns.

Whatever the information you found, write it out in a bullet point list and then add a few short sentences to each bullet point. It doesn’t have to be fancy, short and sweet works better. For example, if you are working on Choosing The Location For Your Reception, you could add a sentence or two about the things to keep in mind if you are planning an outdoor reception.

3. The Resource Box or About The Author

If you go look at some of the popular article directories, such as eZineArticles.com you will find at the bottom of each article a section known as the Resource Box, or also called About The Author.

This is your place to shine. Your article was to the point, without any sales pitches, but now in this last part you are free to tell a little about yourself (and if you have a website you can add a link there too) and you can also suggest a helpful solution (the product you are promoting) that could further assist the reader with the challenges of planning their own wedding.

Keep in mind that you only have a few lines for the resource box, so you will definitely have to rewrite it a few times just so you can tweak it and get it just the way you want it, but ultimately, the goal is to have the reader click the link at the end of your article and purchase the product you are promoting, so make it straight to the point. A simple and yet effective example might be: "For more helpful information as well as awesome ways to save hundreds if not thousands on your wedding visit youraffiliatelink.com today".

Again, you don’t want it to be fancy, but your call to action has to make sure the reader has no choice but to click the link and hopefully the sales page you are referring them to is good enough to close the deal and earn you some referral commissions. Go to Google.com and type in "how to write a resource box" for more ideas.

4. Last but definitely not least.

If you go to your favorite search engine and type in "Article Directory" you will find hundreds of different websites where you can submit your article for inclusion. There are other ways to spread the word about your new article, but directories are a quick and easy way to get the word out there and they are all quite easy to use. Just search for the article directories and then submit your new article to as many as you can. If possible, try to submit it to at least 20 or 30, but the more the better.

What will happen is that webmasters, bloggers and newsletter publishers that search through these directories will come across your article and if it’s a good match for their readers and visitors they will be inclined to post your article on their website, or publish it in their newsletter and they will include your Resource Box, along with the link to the product you are promoting.

Bottom line this has the potential to get your article very quickly on thousands of websites, in front of tons of newsletter readers and ultimately you didn’t have to spend a single penny for all this exposure and advertising, you didn’t have to have your own fancy website or subscriber opt-in list and you didn’t have to create your own product.

This same method has been used for quite some time very successfully and has in many cases returned more than just a few hundred bucks within a couple of weeks, in some cases, 1 single article has returned over a thousand dollars in a month and the best part is that your article will continue to be out there, week after week for others to see, click your link and order the product, making you more commissions.

The final thing to help you get started is when you’ve gotten this far congratulate yourself. You have done more than many of the people "day-dreaming" of making it online; you’ve actually done something about it. Now get back over to Clickbank and find yourself another product to promote, start back at step 1 and have fun making money.

Developing a Free Ebook to Attract Opt-In Subscribers

You know by now that you should be building an opt-in list. It's one of the best ways to earn money on the Internet.

When you have a list, you can send members a newsletter with one or more interesting articles along with ads for products related to the topic of your list. The larger your list, the greater the positive response will be to your ads. And, the more money you will make.

Creating and managing an opt-in list involves a number of tasks, including:

- Defining an appropriate topic for your newsletter
- Implementing software or subscribing to an external opt-in list service
- Attracting potential list subscribers
- Preparing articles and ads to send to your list

In this article we'll discuss an aspect of attracting subscribers by offering a free article or ebook.

Today, nearly everyone expects an incentive in return for giving you their name and email address. It's not enough merely to receive your periodic newsletter. After all, they don't know the quality or content of your newsletter. So they expect something of value up front.

The typical product you can offer as an incentive is a free ebook or article.

To successfully get new opt-in subscribers you'll need to offer an ebook or article that provides immediate benefits. That is, your product must solve some problems or answer some nagging questions of your target audience.

You can offer an ebook or article you have resale rights to or you can create your own. Most existing ebooks with resale rights have been marketed for some time. Often these products have been marketed by people with more resources and experience than someone just creating their first list. So, the information in these ebooks is often familiar to many people.

You'll often find that if your product has unique content you can corner the market for your particular set of solutions. This offers an advantage because your target market can only get these solutions from you.

How to Develop Ideas for Your Ebook

As you gain experience with your topical area you'll probably be able to identify some of your target audience's problems or concerns. And, knowing their concerns or problems, you'll likely be able to offer a few solutions.

Once you have identified some solutions, you can expand your thoughts to a few paragraphs. To explain them clearly and give examples, each solution may be become a chapter of several hundred or even thousands of words.

You can often research your topic and look for additional solutions by using the search engines or by searching various article sites. Once you locate material that describes solutions you can express those solutions in your own words. You can add your own examples to make your expression of the solutions unique and more personal.

While copyright protection applies to the expression of ideas, it does not prevent you from expressing those same ideas in your own words. There are many books and ebooks that express the same concepts in different words. So, your expression of the solutions you choose to present will not conflict with the rights of others.

Preparing and Publishing Your Ebook

Most people use a product like Microsoft Word to prepare their ebook or article. With it you can check spelling and grammar, create chapters, headings, bulleted lists and a table of contents. You can also add photos and clip art to help explain and illustrate your ideas.

You may already have access to a commercial clip art package. Many packages are available at your local computer store. And, even though I own several clip art packages, I've found that I'm usually satisfied with Microsoft's free library of clip art.

Microsoft allows you to download and use any of over 150,000 images and sounds from their online library. To search and download art from Microsoft using Microsoft Word, select Insert -> Picture -> Clip Art. Then select the Clips Online tab. You'll then be able to search photos, clip art and sounds for just the right images to illustrate your ideas. As long as your purpose is to enhance your own product, you can freely include Microsoft's images.

Once your ebook or article is complete you'll want to create a PDF file. This is the most popular format for downloadable ebooks and articles. People using both Windows-based PCs and Macintoshes can view documents in PDF format.

You can "print" your document to a PDF file using any of several free conversion applications. Newer PCs often come with this conversion software preloaded. If your PC does not have this software you can get it free from several sources. Three free products that create PDF files from virtually any Windows applications are:

- PrimoPDF (http://www.primopdf.com/)
- PDFCreator (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/)
- doPDF (http://www.dopdf.com/)

After creating your PDF file you can then upload the PDF to your server. You'll need to upload it in BINARY format rather than ASCII format. To make sure you did everything correct you should download your PDF and test it to make sure it is viewable.

You'll also need to create a web page that promotes the benefits of your ebook or article, describes your newsletter, and includes a subscription form. In addition, you'll need a "Thank You" page that has a link to your ebook's PDF file so subscribers can download your product.

With unique content that offers an immediate benefit to potential subscribers, you're sure to have a successful list building experience.

10 Easy Steps to Building an Opt-In List that wants to buy your products

If you are in business online, you must have an Opt-In list. This article gives you the 10 top steps to build your opt-in list and ensure that it is responsive. These steps are:

  1. Choose your target market- People will subscribe to a list they are interested in. You cannot have a non-specific list as people won’t subscribe. So pick a niche that you want to target.
  2. Ensure that this market is seen online- There are countless niche’s out there, but not all of them are online. If you have selected a niche, ensure that they have an online presence before you invest any money
  3. Monitor your time commitments and spending- It is important to ensure that you do not waste any time or money on non-incoming producing efforts as this is counter-productive.
  4. Use Forums- Forums have many benefits; you can find out what your prospects’ problems are so you can provide an answer, and you can position yourself as an expert on the forum.
  5. Identify Problems- You need to find out what your prospects want an answer to, and find out why they haven’t previously been able to find answers to these problems. Use forums, Google groups, Yahoo answers to do this.
  6. Offer the solution to these problems- This flows on from above. You’ve identified the above, now offer the solution.
  7. Have an Opt-In form- Once you get prospects to your website, make it easy for them to subscribe to your newsletter so you can maintain regular contact with your prospects.
  8. Purchase an autoresponder account- An autoresponder ensures that you can easily maintain contact with your prospects once they have signed up to your newsletter. We recommend Aweber.com as it is the service used with great results by most Internet Marketing Gurus.
  9. Entice your site visitors- Visitors are not going to automatically sign up to your Opt-In list. Entice them with free reports, mini-courses or discount coupons.
  10. Do everything you can to contact your target public- Get on a variety of forums, use SEO, use PPC and have a blog. Make sure you have as many ways as possible for your target public to see your message.

Following the steps listed above will help you to develop a highly responsive Opt-In list. To find out exactly how a guy named Derek Gehl earned $291,756.42 in 30 days from Email Marketing, download his report - The Insider Secrets To Email Marketing immediately!

7 Steps To Get PR5+ One Way Links For Free

One way links from sites with high Page Rank are the best possible links you could get when promoting your site or blog. The easy way to get these type of links is to use services like textlinkbrokers.com or linkadage.com where you pay monthly fees for one way links on sites that you choose.

Those services work very well, but what do you do if you can't afford to buy many high PR text links.

I'm going to show you an easy way to get this type of links, and you can use this method if you don't have a big budget or you simply want to save some money.

Let's say you have created a blog in a certain niche, you have added content on a regular basis, found some link partners, sent articles to directories etc. Traffic is coming to your blog, but in pretty low numbers.

So you want to get some one way links from sites with high PR (preferably with more than decent traffic) for better search engine placement. You'll do this by creating a quality report in that niche, and then offer that report with Master Resale Rights to owners of blogs and sites(with PR 5+) in your niche in exchange for a one way link.

Here's how you do that Step By Step:

Step1. The first thing you need to do is make a list with questions that people have regarding your niche. To do this, you must visit blogs, forums(the best resource for this type of research), Yahoo Answers, Online Magazines, Google Groups, and Amazon.com to find those questions that need an answer. Choose one two or three questions that are asked a lot, questions people are having a hard time finding an answer for.

Step2. If you are an expert in your niche jump to Step3. If you're not an expert in your niche and you do research to create content for your blog or site, you need to follow the same process to create your report. Article directories can be a good place to start, also Wikipedia.com, forums, blogs etc.

Step3. Now it's time to write the report. It should have a maximum of 20 pages, but it could work very well with even 10 pages. Make sure you answer the questions you have found in step1 in a clear and easy to understand way. This is the most important part of the process. If the report isn't of the best quality, webmasters will reject it.

Step4. Find affiliate programs that go hand in hand with your report. Clickbank.com, CJ.com, PayDotCom.com are great places to find affiliate programs.

Step5(Optional but Recommended). Write a small sales letter for the report ... well more like a solo ad. Write about how your report answers those questions a lot of people are dying to know the answer. Here's a great article I found about writing quality solo ads.

Step6. Find blogs and sites in your niche with high PR. Use google, blog directories, article directories and social bookmarking sites.

Step7. Contact the webmasters and offer the report with Master Resale Rights in exchange for a one way link on the home page or other high PR page. Show them the list with affiliate programs you recommend they promote. Also, as a bonus, give them the solo ad you wrote so that they can instantly send it to their list for quick money in their Paypal accounts. Try to contact as many webmasters as you can. Not all will accept the proposal but if you create a quality report many will.

Follow these steps, and you'll get many top quality one way links for free. This method always works for me.
